CHEQF · Articles 17 and 27

Each diploma carries a unique number and is entered in a secure registry. This is the public face of that registry.

Verify a diploma.One number, one answer.

Enter the registration number printed on the diploma and in section 12 of the Diploma Supplement. The answer shows the degree, the awarding body, the date of the award decision and the status of the record. It shows no more than that.

Spaces, dashes and case do not matter. The published registry holds only a fingerprint of each number, so it cannot be browsed; the check runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

To see a positive answer, verify the specimen number . It is marked as a specimen and counted nowhere.

The result

Enough to trust the paper. Not enough to impersonate its holder.

01 What a positive answer contains

Registration number
As entered, normalised. The registry stores a fingerprint of the number, not the number itself.
Degree
Code and full title from the Register of Approved Degrees, linked to its standard.
Programme
Specialisation as approved in the Programme Specification (Article 26).
Awarding body
The institution that conferred the degree, with its registry number; the teaching institution if different (Article 17).
Date of award
The date of the decision to confer (Article 27).
Status
Valid, corrected or revoked, with the note entered by the panel where applicable (Articles 28–29).

For awarding bodies

An award that is not entered does not exist for anyone who checks.

02 How awards are entered

The decision is enteredon the day it is taken.

Under Article 27 a degree may be conferred only after confirmation that all programme requirements have been fulfilled; the decision is made by the Academic Board, Senate or Degree Committee of the awarding body and entered in the central registry. Under Article 28 each diploma carries a unique number, the date of the decision and a means of electronic verification: this page is that means, and the supplement prints its address.

Until the registry has a back office, awarding bodies send each award decision to office@patria.uno: registration number, degree, programme, date of the decision, and the decision reference. Entries appear with the next publication of the registry. Corrections and revocations go the same way, with the panel decision attached.

Verification address to print in section 12 of the supplement: https://patria.uno/edu/verify/diploma/?n=NUMBER. A QR code of that address opens the check with the number filled in.

  • ValidThe award is in the registry and has not been revoked. What you see is what the awarding body entered.
  • CorrectedThe record was amended after award through the formal correction procedure of Article 28.
  • RevokedThe degree was revoked by an independent panel under Article 29. The diploma is no longer a valid qualification.
  • Not foundNo award with this number has been entered. See below for what that means and what to do.

Not found

The registry does not say “probably”. It says yes or it says nothing.

04 When the answer is “not found”

Not found is an answer.Treat the paper accordingly.

Every degree conferred under CHEQF is entered in the central registry by the awarding body at the moment of the award decision. Every institution with a status is entered when the decision is taken. There is no other channel: a diploma or a status that is not here has not been entered, whatever seal is on the document.

  • Ask the holder for the diploma supplement: section 12 carries the registration number and the verification address.
  • Write to office@patria.uno with the number, the degree and the name of the awarding body. Queries are answered from the registry, not from memory.
  • Until the Standard is approved and the first status granted, no diploma can be a CHEQF qualification, and no institution can be authorised. Any document claiming otherwise today is not ours.
