What this site knows about you, and what it does not.

patria.uno is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and keeps no account of who you are. What little it does hold is listed here in full.

Visits

Page views are counted by Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It uses no cookies and stores no identifier that could single you out: only aggregated counts of pages, countries, browsers and referring sites. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing about you is kept.

Fonts and outbound links

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google’s servers; Google may log that request under its own privacy policy. Links that leave the site carry a plain “came from patria.uno” marker in the address so that the site you visit can see where its readers come from; the marker identifies this site, not you.

Mail you send us

Every form on this site is a letter: the “letters” signup, the participation buttons, comments on the draft standards and expressions of interest all open your own mail program addressed to office@patria.uno. What you send is read by people, used to answer you and, if you asked for our letters, to keep your address on that list. It is not sold, traded or shared. Write to the same address to be removed or to have your correspondence deleted.

The education registry

The verification forms under /edu/verify/ run entirely in your browser: what you type is compared against a published copy of the registry and is not sent anywhere. The public registry lists institutions by name. For diplomas and certificates it publishes only a fingerprint of each number, never the number itself, and a holder’s name appears only where the issuing organisation chose to include it, as the standards require public verification without excessive personal data.

Photographs

Documentary photographs are used under Creative Commons or public-domain licences with a credit under each one. Anyone depicted who wishes a photograph removed can write to us and it will be replaced.
